Ansbach terror attack: one dead and 11 injured after ‘deliberate’ blast

One person has been killed after a blast in a bar in the southern German city of Ansbach. Ten others are injured. The city’s mayor said “an explosive device” caused the blast. The area around the bar is now under lockdown and a nearby music festival has been cancelled. According to German sources, the explosion at Eugens Weinstube took place at around 10:00 pm local time on Sunday. It said that Bavarian interior minister Joachim Herrmann was on his way to the scene.
A Syrian refugee kills a woman with machete in another attack in Germany

German media report that a Syrian refugee of 21 killed a woman with a machete and injured two others Sunday in the south-western city of Reutlingen before being arrested by police. Reutlingen police could not immediately be reached to provide further details or the reason for the attack. Germany is still reeling from the killing Friday of nine people in Munich by an 18-year old of Iranian descent and the ISIS-claimed axe murder that wounded five people on a Munich train five days earlier.
