The Palestinian is seen barefoot in a street in Hebron. Photos of the arrest were soon published on social media networks. The IOF said the incident will be investigated. The military said it was carrying out security checks in the city due to recent attacks in the area.

During a routine security check, the Palestinian who was documented refused to be frisked. The forces had arrested the suspect. The troops’ conduct is being looked into and the incident is being investigated.

The IOF has bolstered its presence in Hebron following two attempted stabbings in the city on Monday. On Wednesday, a 13-year-old Palestinian girl was shot and lightly wounded at a checkpoint near the West Bank settlement of Alfei Menashe, after refusing to stop  when commanded by the guards. On Tuesday, a Palestinian attempted to stab an IOF outside the Palestinian town of Bani Naim, east of Hebron, the military said. The suspected attacker was shot and killed without any casualties among the soldiers
