Mika Will Not Invite Kellyanne Conway to Morning Joe Anymore
The_Real_Fly, Zero Hedge, Feb 15 2017
Here we go. They got Flynn and now they’re out for Conway, Miller and then Bannon. Mika Brzezinski said this morning that she’d no longer have Kellyanne Conway on Morning Joe because she doesn’t like fake news. Joe Scarborough chimed in, essentially calling Conway persona non grata, painting her as an ego-driven media whore who isn’t in any of the White House meetings and has no idea what’s going on. Really? What sources inside the White House can confirm this? Joe said ‘any reporter’ can ask people inside the White House about Conway’s access to the briefings and they’ll confirm that she’s basically cast aside in the dark, left to doing TV shows & perpetuating fake news stories. The lazy thinking demonstrated here is astounding. Clearly, this is a smear campaign by the shills at MSNBC, in an effort to deride Conway. I find it next to impossible to believe that a White House spox would be treated in this manner, especially three weeks into the administration. The only fake news taking place here, ironically, is from the shills at MSNBC.
Mika Brzezinski Firmly Says Conway Will No Longer Be Booked
J D Durkin, Mediaite, Feb 15 2017
Mika Brzezinski of NBC Morning Joe revealed a tidbit that many may not know about the way Kellyanne Conway gets herself booked onto so many shows on behalf of the administration. The Trump campaign manager turned Senior Counselor often times texts directly to schedule an interview hit. But after what Brzezinski calls a never-ending cascade of “fake news, information that is not true,” the MSNBC anchor is saying no more. The 6 am segment of Wednesday morning was centered on Conway’s troubling appearances on several of the morning shows yesterday, where Joe Scarborough alleged Conway gave “misinformation” to Matt Lauer of the NBC Today Show. Brzezinski said:
I know for a fact she tries to book herself on this show! I won’t do it! Every time I’ve ever seen her on television, something’s askew, off or incorrect! I will say, Kellyanne Conway does not need to text our show, just as long as I’m on it, because it’s not happening here! And again, I don’t even think she’s saying things she knows to be untrue! She’s just saying things, just to get in front of a TV set and prove her relevance because behind the scenes she’s not in these meetings! She’s not credible anymore!
Russia Denies Trump Officials Contacted Russian Spies
Tyler Durden, Zero Hedge, Feb 15 2017
The latest Trump foreign policy keeps getting stranger by the minute. Overnight, as the three liberal-leaning Pindo newspapers of record launched another attack on Trump, alleging that officials linked to the president, most notably Tim Manafort, engaged Russian intel officials in the not too distant past, the Russian government dismissed allegations that the country’s intelligence officials were in repeated contact with Donald Trump’s team ahead of the US election. Dmitri Peskov told reporters:
Let’s not believe anonymous information. It’s a newspaper report which is not based on any facts.
A Russian senator named Vladimir Jabarov was cited by the Independent as telling state media:
These claims were part of an intelligence community conspiracy to have the President impeached. This is a common tactic to try to discredit a particular person.
Meanwhile, following Sean Spicer’s statement during his Tuesday press conference that Trump wants Crimea returned to Ukraine, Russian boxtops struck a combative stance with Pindostan on issues including the Ukrainian conflict, after the White House said:
The President expects the Russian government to de-escalate violence in Ukraine and return Crimea.
Maria Zakharova of the Russian foreign ministr, told a presser:
We don’t give back our own territory. Crimea is territory belonging to the Russian Federation.
Tweeting on the topic of Ukraine, moments ago Trump said:
After overnight the NYT published allegations of “repeated contacts” between Pres Trump’s campaign staff and associates and senior Russian intelligence operatives in the year leading up to the election, Trump lashed out in a series of tweets:
The President’s representatives have previously denied any untoward contact with the Kremlin, but fresh claims have emerged in the wake of a separate scandal that caused the national security advisor’s resignation. In an interview with the FT, former Trump campaign chair Tim Manafort said:
I have never had any involvement with Putin or the Russian government on any matter. Furthermore, I have never knowingly spoken to Russian intelligence officers and I have never been involved in any projects that include the Russian government or the Putin administration or parties acting in concert with or on behalf of the Russian government.
Asked whether the Trump administration was undertaking efforts to examine contacts with Russia, Spicer said there was “no new information.” When challenged specifically on discussions held during the campaign, Spicer said:
There’s nothing that would conclude me … that anything different has changed with respect to that time period.
When asked whether contact had taken place with Russia before the election in a Fox News interview on Sunday, VP Pence said:
Of course not! Why would there be any contact between the campaign? This is all a distraction, and it’s all part of a narrative to delegitimise the election!
But in November, Russian deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov told Interfax there had been communication between the Russian government and members of Mr Trump’s political team. He said:
There were contacts. We are doing this and have been doing this during the election campaign.
The only question now that matters is what information was exchanged during those contacts.
