NBC Reports Former Soviet Intelligence Officer Attended Meeting With Don Jr, But There’s A Catch
Tyler Durden, Zero Hedge, Jul 14 2017

Donald Trump Jr._0

Just when you thought the Don Jr story was starting to fizzle, due to revelations which would suggest that nothing of substance was discussed in his meeting with Veselnitskaya, NBC News has just dropped a new “bombshell” detail that the heretofore unknown and quite mysterious third party that attended that meeting was a Soviet-born counter-intelligence officer. Once you get past the salacious headline, the story may not be as much of a “bombshell” as NBC would undoubtedly like it to be. It seems this “former Soviet counter-intelligence officer,” a man that NBC refuses to identify for some reason, emigrated to Pindostan some time ago, is a Pindosi lobbyist, and holds dual citizenship in Pindostan.

The Russian lawyer who met with the Trump team after a promise of compromising material on Hillary Clinton was accompanied by a Pindosi-Russian lobbyist, a former Soviet counter-intelligence officer who is suspected by some Pindo boxtops of having ongoing ties to Russian intelligence, NBC News has learned. NBC News is not naming the lobbyist, who denies any current ties to Russian spy agencies. He accompanied the lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, to the Jun 2016 meeting at Trump Tower attended by Donald Trump Jr, Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort. The Russian-born lobbyist served in the Soviet military and emigrated to Pindfofuckingstan, where he holds dual citizenship.

Maybe, just maybe, bringing a ‘lobbyist’ to a meeting in which your intent is to ‘lobby’ for the overturn of the Magnitsky Act might just be something that makes sense rather than being part of a larger plot to rig an entire Pindostani presidential election. Meanwhile, as Natasha Bertrand of Business Insider notes, the identity of this mysterious sixth person was actually revealed last week by the NYT as Rinat Akhmetshin. He was part of a lobbying team put together by Veselnitskaya to overturn the Magnitsky Act, and was actually the person who organized the showing of that anti-Magnitsky Act film at the Newseum which Veselnitskaya attended four days after the infamous Don Jr meeting.

Contacted by NBC News, representatives for Kushner and Manafort declined to comment. Alan Futerfas, the attorney retained by Donald Trump Jr, confirmed he has spoken to the individual. Futerfas said: “It’s very simple. The person was described as a friend of Emin’s and maybe as a friend of Natalia’s.” Futerfas said he has talked with that individual who came to the meeting with Veselnitskaya. “He is a Pindosi citizen. He told me specifically he was not working for the Russian government, and in fact laughed when I asked him that question.” Futerfas confirmed that, “for the purpose of security or otherwise, the names were reviewed,” but said Trump Jr.knew nothing about the man’s background at the time of the meeting. When asked about whether he had concerns, knowing what he knows now, Futerfas responded: “I have absolutely no concerns about what was said in that meeting.”

So what say you?  Elaborate plot to coordinate with Russian operatives which resulted in the first successful Pindo coup in history or a useless meeting that has become a convenient tool in advancing the media’s Russian narrative?

Co-Founder Of Trump-Russia Dossier Firm Cancels Testimony While Lynch Claims Ignorance
ZeroPointNow, Zero Hedge, Jul 14 2017

The ongoing efforts to bring down Donald Trump are unraveling at an accelerating pace. After it was revealed that Rob Goldstone, the man who arranged the now infamous Trump Jr “setup” with a shady Russian attorney, is associated with Fusion GPS, the firm behind the largely discredited 35-page Trump-Russia dossier, the co-founder of Fusion GPS abruptly canceled his appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee next week to testify in the ongoing probe into Russian influence in the 2016 election, according to Politico.

The committee announced Wednesday that Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS was scheduled to voluntarily appear on Jul 19. During the election, Simpson’s firm hired former British spy Christopher Steele to produce the 35-page dossier, accusing then-candidate Donald Trump of all sorts of salacious dealings with Russians. When Steele couldn’t verify its claims, the FBI refused to pay him $50k for the report, which didn’t stop John McCain from hand-delivering it to former FBI director James Comey, or the Obama administration from using it to start spying on Trump associate Carter Page. That’s two attempts to take down President Trump involving Fusion GPS. The Independent reported on Monday that Mark Corallo, a spox for the President’s legal team told them that they now believed Ms Veselnitskaya and her colleagues had misrepresented who they were and who they worked for. Corallo said:

Specifically, we have learned that the person who sought the meeting is associated with Fusion GPS, a firm which according to public reports, was retained by Democratic operatives to develop opposition research on the President and which commissioned the phony Steele dossier.

Perhaps sensing he’s totally screwed and now a huge liability to the deep state, Simpson canceled his testimony next week.

After it was revealed that Loretta Lynch’s DoJ allowed Natalia Veselnitskaya into Pindostan under “extraordinary circumstances,” Trump quoted a report from The Hill at a press conference during his visit to France, stating:

She was here because of Lynch … Nothing happened from the meeting… Zero happened from the meeting, and honestly I think the press made a big deal over something that many people would do.

Lynch distanced herself in a Thursday statement via a spox, claiming:

Ms Lynch does not have any personal knowledge of Ms Veselnitskaya’s travel. The State Dept issues visas, and the DHS oversees entry to Pindostan at airports.

After Lynch’s DOJ allowed Veselnitskaya into the country to participate in a lawsuit and nothing more, she had the now infamous meeting at Trump tower, met with current and former lawmakers from both parties, and was spotted in a front-row seat at a House Foreign Affairs committee hearing on Russia. What an interesting trip for Ms Veselnitskaya…
