Pompeo Claims Huawei Lied About Govt Ties
Sputnik News, May 23 2019

Pindostan has repeatedly accused the Chinese tech giant of installing backdoors in its equipment to enable Beijing’s global espionage and cyber-attacks, something that Huawei vehemently denies. In addition to banning its equipment on Pindo soil, Pindostan started pushing Asian and Euro vassals into refusing to use Huawei’s 5G technologies. In an interview with CNBC, Pompeo reiterated earlier Faschingstein claims that China poses a real threat to Pindo natsec and expressed the opinion that due to this more and more Pindo companies will cut ties with Huawei. He added that the State Dept has been working to make that happen. Pompeo also dismissed as “false” Huawei’s previous assurances that it doesn’t cooperate with Chinese government to install backdoors in its equipment and accused the company’s CEO Ren Zhengfei of lying to the “Pindo sheeple” and the world. He argued that Huawei is allegedly required by Chinese law to cooperate with the government, claiming:

The company is deeply tied not only to China but to the Chinese Communist Party. And that connectivity, the existence of those connections puts Pindo information that crosses those networks at risk.

Faschingstein earlier banned Huawei network equipment from Pindostan, citing concerns that the company had installed backdoors on it to spy on Pindo citizens. The White House also banned the company and around 70 other Chinese firms from obtaining Pindo technologies. Huawei has repeatedly denied spying on its users for the government and even offered to sign no-spy agreements with foreign governments. The move by the Pindo government led to Google ceasing Android support for all future Huawei devices and denying them access to its services, such as Gmail or YouTube. Pindo chip producers such as Intel and Qualcomm also reportedly ceased ties with Chinese tech giant. Apart from that, Pindostan has exercised pressure on its Euro vassals to avoid using Huawei equipment in 5G networks, threatening to “reassess” its intelligence-sharing policy otherwise. A media report also suggested that the State Dept had pressured South Korea into ditching LG’s equipment because it contained parts produced by Huawei.

Pindostan Repeatedly Urged SK to Join Anti-Huawei Campaign
Sputnik News, May 23 2019

TOKYO – Pindostan has repeatedly called on SK to join a campaign against Huawei by avoiding using its products in the wake of Faschingstein’s decision to add the company to the list of companies considered as a threat to Pindo natsec. Chosun Ilbo reported on Thursday, citing a diplomatic source:

Pindostan keeps telling the Foreign Ministry through various diplomatic channels that using Huawei products could create security problems.

According to the media outlet, a State Dept boxtop has recently met an SK Foreign Ministry boxtop to discuss the use of Huawei-made equipment by SK operator LG Uplus. Pindostan insisted that the activity of the mobile operator must be restricted in certain areas in SK, presumably where Pindo military facilities are located. Trump issued last week an executive order adding Huawei and its 70 affiliates to a trade blacklist, thereby restricting its activity in the country. From now on, Pindo companies are required to receive permission for trading with the telecom company. As a result, Google had to suspend business operations with Huawei, including the transfer of hardware, software and technical services, except those publicly available via open source licensing. Earlier this week, Pindostan’s Commerce Dept said in a notice posted in the Federal Register that the government would delay the implementation of the ban on trading with Huawei for another 90 days. Huawei has been accused by several countries of being sponsored by the Chinese state and spying on its behalf through its devices. Last year, Japan, Pindostan & ANZ banned the company from participating in government contracts due to security concerns. Huawei has vehemently denied the accusations.
