Based on inciting absolute hatred towards the population of Donbass
Colonel Cassad, Apr 9 2021

The video with the flag is here. Kremlin today duplicated yesterday’s statements by the curator of the Ukrainian direction in the Presidential Administration Kozak regarding the possibility of Russia’s direct participation in the war in Ukraine. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that if full-scale hostilities begin in Ukraine, it will threaten the security of Russia. He added that in this case, Moscow may take measures to avoid a “human catastrophe.” On the eve, on Apr 8, the deputy head of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation Dmitri Kozak did not rule out that Russia would stand up to protect its citizens in Donbass in the event of a war. Peskov told reporters during a press call:

The situation on the contact line in Ukraine is extremely unstable. The dynamics of the development of this situation and the dynamics of the behavior of the Ukrainian side creates the danger of a resumption of full-scale hostilities. If civil war and full-scale hostilities resume near our borders, this will pose a threat to the security of the Russian Federation. In the event of a resumption of hostilities, in the event of a potential repetition of a human catastrophe similar to Srebrenica, as President Putin has already said, no country in the world will stand aside. And all countries, including Russia, will take measures to prevent such tragedies from happening again.

When asked by a journalist, on the basis of which the Russian side draws parallels between the conflict in Ukraine and in Yugoslavia, he replied:

On the basis of the uncontrolled actions of various units of the armed forces of Ukraine, on the basis of the dominance of nationalist sentiments, on the basis of inciting absolute hatred towards the population of the self-proclaimed republics of Donbass.

The mention of Srebrenica is a thick allusion to the fact that the Russian Federation can use the same justifications for actions on the territory of Ukraine that NATO used during the invasion of Yugoslavia. It is worth remembering that in 2008 the Kosovo precedent was used to substantiate the recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Well, now, judging by the statements of Kozak and Peskov, Srebrenica has been taken as a modular example and reason. The beginning of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is quite openly equated with a threat to the Russian Federation, which may be followed by direct hostilities, with the open involvement of Russian troops, as a reaction to this threat. Overall, the Kremlin has indeed decided to draw a certain red line and see if its opponents will cross or not. In fact, they threw the ball to the other side, offering to check whether the Russian Federation is realizing its threat, in the event that the Armed Forces of Ukraine still go on the offensive. It is worth noting that if earlier such threats were voiced mainly by representatives of the DPR and LPR, as well as individual deputies and senators of the Russian Federation, now such rhetoric comes directly from the Kremlin, which better than anything else suggests that the risk of renewed intense hostilities is far from zero. which is supported by the high publicity of the ongoing audit. Meanwhile, a delegation from the DPR visited Syria.

The parties agreed to develop some joint projects. Let’s join hands, friends, so as not to disappear one by one.

Zelensky goes to Turkey tomorrow. Probably, he will again beg for weapons from Erdogan.
