We had our dose of Motor Mouth Regev on Monday evening on Lateline.
Lateline were very F & B about it and interviewed a cool, calm & collected, educated, female ex-PLO lawyer and pro-Pal activist named Buttu the following evening. The reporter drew all of her questions from Regev’s lies and Ms Buttu blew them all out of the water.

This evening, ABC PM interviewed the Israeli Ambassador to Oz, Yuval Rotem, and gave him a chance to justify the massacre. If it wasn’t about murdering people in cold blood, it would have been funny. He ran into a little more ‘resistance’ from Colvin than he expected and toward the end started to sound completely insane.

Yuval Rotem is pretty incoherent in the transcript. I think I’ll skip the audio.

The Rachel Corrie aid ship is just about 3 hours away from Gaza now.

Well, you can follow it in the US. I’ll be in bed, and so will most Israelis, Arabs, and Asians generally.

… Kate Geraghty, the Fairfax photographer who was tasered during the IDF’s attack on the Peace Flotilla, says that 3 of the IDF attackers were Australian -Israelies.

Snow: what if the next one (oh by the way there’s a next one) has a military escort?
    Regev: What idiot’s suggesting that?
Snow: The Turkish Prime Minister, in Parliament.
Regev: Uh … no, that didn’t happen.
    Snow: Yuh-unh it did.
    Regev: Nyuh-unh it didn’t.
    Snow: Did too.
Regev: [and now a fascinating glimpse into the tribalist’s mind–] Are you suggesting that Turkey is sending warships to attack Israel?
[Nowhere does anybody say anything about that, but of course for a tribalist that’s exactly what Snow is saying, just like the activists who did not lay down and die were a dire threat.]

I noticed that as well. If Snow hadn’t been running out of time, he would presumably have said, “No, not to ‘attack Israel’, to defend the convoy.”

I’m looking forward to reading what SMH’s McGeogh has to say about the experience. While he was still in the SLC he said he wasn’t sure when he’d be released because he’d been asked to sign a disclaimer/waiver as a pre-condition.
Which is a bit pathetic. No court outside USrael would assign legitimacy to a document signed under duress.
