southern turkey is becoming a mess (but i’m sure the CIA, present in force at incirlik, won’t mind)

NATO emergency meeting
El Murid, Jul 28 2015 12:36

On Tuesday Jul 28 at the request of Turkey is going to be an emergency meeting of NATO countries. The question that is posed by Turkey, stipulated in article 4 of the Charter: a threat to the territorial integrity of a member of the Alliance. In any case, Turkey believes that this is true, and its territorial integrity is under quite a serious threat. ISIS is the reason that Turkey would use, trying once again to obtain the consent of or at least neutral attitude of NATO towards the idea of a buffer zone in Northern Syria. The idea behind the buffer zone has been harbouring a long time, and rational background under it: there are two million refugees, the camps of the militants, transparent border, all this creates in the south of Turkey a situation close to disaster management. In fact, Turkey controls this part of its territory only where at the cost of its military. South Turkey is saturated with them, but they are not able to to get everything under control.

Nevertheless, this is just an excuse. The reason is deeper. The main enemy of Turkey is the Kurds. The war in Syria has allowed them to not just create their own fighting units, but also to arm ourselves to the teeth, and most importantly to create a mobilization reserve, which just on Syrian territory is estimated at 100,000 to 120,000 people. Such a huge army to contain the Kurds are not in a state, the number of troops varies within 15,000 and 18,000 people, but the reserve allows you to compensate for the loss, and if necessary to create situational militias and self-defence, as happened in Kobani. The situation for Turkey is absolutely intolerable, and it is absolutely no wonder which began mass arrests across the country after a powerful attack last week directed not so much against cell LIH, much against the Kurds. There is even the question is not whether the Turkish government and ISIS for the same team in this match? The enemy they have, at least, in common.

The second goal after the Kurds, of course, is Assad. The Western media are beginning to spin the theme that Syrian air strikes supposedly against ISIS are actually coordinated with ISIS, who have essentially “bought” the aviation of Syria to their own advantage. Nobody cares about the real situation. This theme is unwound under a specific order, to create a no-fly zone over the next buffer area, which naturally Turkey will create without any coordination with the Syrian government.
