At least 30 killed as S. African police

South African police opened fire at striking miners at the Marikana platinum mine, killing at least 30 protesters. The incident became the bloodiest industrial dispute in South Africa in the 20 years since the end of the country’s Apartheid regime. South African Minister of Police Nathi Mthethwa confirmed the death toll:
A lot of people were injured and the number keeps on going up.
The killings occurred after police, attempting to lay down barricades of barbed wire, were outflanked by a crowd of 3,000 demonstrators armed with machetes and spears. Nine people were killed prior to Thursday’s clashes in a wave of protest in the mining town, located 100 km northwest of Johannesburg. The platinum mine, owned by Lonmin PLC, has been the focal point of strikes and violence since last Friday stemming from wage disputes. Fighting intensified over the weekend when two police officers were killed. Striking workers and local security guards also became embroiled in the violence. Some 3,000 police massed in the area on Wednesday wearing riot gear and supported by helicopters. Demonstrators were reinforced on Thursday by a group of women pledging to stand by their husbands in their demand for increased wages. Lonmin announced that the disruption means the company is unlikely to meet its 2012 production targets. Shares in the company tumbled 6% following Thursday’s violence, bringing total losses since the outset of the strike to 13%. The miners are reportedly demanding a raise in wages to over $1,000 a month.

Just watch any sports where SA is participating. Looking at their supporters you never will think that Black Africans are the majority. These same Whites now pretend that they were all anti-apartheid supporters.

Yes, the key to it all was when the ANC abandoned the communist (i.e. marxist-leninist) demand to nationalise the natural resources of the country, including the mines themselves (as industrial plant). You must be referring to ‘Nicky’ Oppenheimer, the De Beers (diamond mines) owner.
I think the media will suggest that the ‘real’ reason for this massacre is a power struggle between rival miners’ unions (an analysis the govt will endeavour to make into a truth, by fostering such a rivalry).
Actually it was his grandfather Ernest who first converted (now bured in St. George’s church Parktown) and yet Harry, Nicky’s father, was bar mitzed at 13 but then as an adult found jesus. Marx only attacked productive capitalism (i.e. industry) never the the jewish strong hold of finance capitalism. Marx tended to treat finance capital as peripheral, but at the same time he admitted that it was the added instabilities introduced by finance that cause the general and perpetual capitalist crisis to appear in the form that it always does (recurrent stock and bond crashes, which I would call ‘profitability crises’).

I think I have to say (contra the SPLC-affiliated Martin Lee’s book The Beast Reawakens), that there is a genuine interpenetration of right-wing and left-wing thought in some of these people’s theories. Unfortunately, the ‘Atlanticist’ (pro-US) wing of the European Right-wing parties always triumphs over these variously Yockeyite types.

I am also very sceptical of any group that promotes ‘united’ this or that when historically people grouped themselves. I would think more of a federation should be considered (my musing).

If you look closely at these red-brown groups you find the pro-west secret services controlling them, again and again. Forty of the 200 members of FANE (Federation d’Action Nationale Europeene) were cops. And FANE had fraternal links to CEDADE in Spain, the VMO in Flanders, Stefano della Chiaie’s Avangardia Nazionale in Italy, the WUNS in Denmark, and the Grey Wolves in Turkey. Helvena, there seems to me to be an organisational continuity between the 20% of the KKK which was FBI in the 1960s, and the 20% of the European hard right that was undercover police in the 1980s. The only single person who seems to surface again and again in every single large ‘unified’ network, first in post-WW2 Germany, then in the US, and then in Europe, is Otto Ernst Remer. If he was an undercover US agent, that would explain it all. His reputation throughout the global right wing was absolutely godlike.
Of course it’s possible that Remer was dirty but that doesn’t make the ideas he betrayed wrong, it only postpones their realization. The same can be said for the true Left. As you have said before there is a coming together of the far right and far left because they both want truth/reality. It’s the only way we can live as thinking people.
I think it must be widely agreed by now that Evola sold out to NATO, and dealt with his young Italian recruits accordingly: he directed them into urban guerrilla groups that he knew were controlled by NATO intelligence, either not telling them, or ‘initiating’ them privately and convincing them that compared with communism this was the lesser of two evils. So the same may be true of Remer. But publicly, they disagreed with each other about the possibility of allying with the USSR against the US, Remer admitting the possibility and Evola rejecting it.
Ok so what is the answer, just give up? I can’t do that. I must try to follow principle I think are just and let life unfold. It’s the only way to be alive.
I think the answer is not to get sidetracked into mystical ideas about ones own supposed ‘nation’ or race’. As you know I have flirted with the hegelian idea that nations are as it were “ideas in the mind of god” but now I am convinced that the idea of any given nation is almost as arbitrary as the idea of any given race. What actually exists is purely political, i.e. conjunctions of group and class interest constantly pretending to be defending a race or a nation or a religion or a sexual preference or a hair style or whatever as and when convenient. We know what we’re against, the global ZOG — which incidentally is so undeniably obvious a reality nowadays, that it has become merely quaint to read authors who ridicule the term. Compared to that, anything else is the lesser of two evils, and we can be as flexible and pragmatic as we like.
You’ve been right before when I doubted you and you are probably right now but I need to get my head out of the paradigm it’s in now, which will take some thinking.
