The Pindo-Iranian standoff is developing not only in the military and diplomatic sphere, but also in a media sphere. Representatives of the both states troll each other on a regular basis using various memes and symbols. In Nov 2018, Pindostan & Iran appeared to be involved in a brief meme war after Trump had posted a “sanctions are coming” meme. On Jul 19, an Iranian deputy foreign minister said that his country is concerned that Pindostan may have shot down own drone over the Persian Gulf in response to Pindo claims that the Boxer had downed an Iranian one. Now, it appears that Iranian personnel are using photos of Trump and Netanyahu as training targets. What’s next?
