War in Ukraine. Summary for Jul 7 2022
Colonel Cassad, Jul 8 11:18

1. Lisichansk-Sverodonetsk. The regrouping of troops to the Seversko-Soledar and Artemovsk directions continues. The area is being combed, not all the lagging groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been caught yet. The cities themselves are still shelled by the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

2. Seversk. Battles at Grigorovka and Verkhnekamensky. The Armed Forces of Ukraine indicated their readiness to fight for Seversk and are not going to surrender the city without a fight. At the same time, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are beginning to feel the chain of settlements between Seversky and Soledar for the possibility of bypassing Seversk from the south.

3. Artemovsk. Battles in the area of Klinovoye, as well as for Pokrovsky. The enemy is still holding Kodem and Semigorye.

4. Soledar. Battles for Berestovoye and Belogorovka. After the capture of Spornogo, we can expect a gradual “collapse” of the front from the north towards Soledar.

5. Avdiivka. No significant changes. Positional battles near the Avdeevka-Konstantinovka highway, there is no progress towards Krasnogorovka. Battles on the outskirts of New York. The enemy intensively shells Donetsk, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Makeyevka. There are strikes by multiple launch rocket systems and operational-tactical missile systems on ammunition depots, fuel and lubricants and lubricants and locations of LDPR units in the depths of the territory of the DPR and LPR.

6. Ugledar. After an unsuccessful attempt to attack the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the front in the area of Pavlovka, Shevchenko and Egorovka stabilized, and the fighting returned to a positional format. In the area of Maryinka and Novomikhailovka, no significant changes.

7. Slavyansk. Battles at Dolena, Krasnopolye, Bogorodichny and Sidorov. The front from the northwest is 8-10 km from the outskirts of Slavyansk. The strikes of the Russian Armed Forces on Slavyansk and Kramatorsk have intensified.

8. Kharkiv. Positional battles north and northwest of the city near Uda, Tsupovka, Dementyevka, Verknyi Prokhodye, Staryi Saltov. There are regular strikes on targets in Kharkiv, Chuguev and Zolochev. The enemy expects the introduction of fresh units of the Russian Armed Forces into battle and their further advance to the northern outskirts of Kharkiv. However, the storming of the city is not yet expected.

9. Nikolaev. Positional battles are in the Nikolaev, Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol directions. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to gain a foothold in the area of Potemkin and create prerequisites for further offensive actions. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are actively striking targets in Nikolaev and in the area of Krivoy Rog. Despite all attempts, the Armed Forces of Ukraine could not organize a significant offensive against Kherson.

10. Odessa. Against the background of ongoing strikes on targets in Odessa region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine held an expected photo shoot on Snake Island, received several blows to the landing and retreated. The island is still in the gray zone.

The bottom is generally shaky, but stable
Colonel Cassad, Jul 8 10:22

Beautiful speech from German Minister of Economy Robert Habeck:

Energy prices are high. This affects all people, all industries, all factories in Germany, and of course handicraft production. These high prices will be transferred to citizens, consumers. This is bitter news. We could take political measures to ensure that this transfer is carried out fairly, but we cannot take care of them. The state cannot afford it. This is an external shock, prices are maintained at a high level from the outside through speculation and creating a deficit. In one form or another, the country will have to pay for it, but it must happen fairly. Politicians have the opportunity to achieve equitable distribution, but it is impossible to fully compensate for the rise in prices from a financial and political point of view. This would also be wrong from an economic point of view, because we need price signals in the market. This will sound cynical, but the introduction of a price ceiling for scarce goods would signal that energy has no value: use it as much as you want. And now we need something completely different: efficiency, savings. And now it is thanks to artisans that measures are being implemented to increase efficiency: heat pumps, construction of solar panels, etc. In addition to other issues that are now prevalent to us, we have an acute shortage of specialists in Germany, which we must decisively eliminate, and in all areas. To improve our skills in vocational training in schools, so as not to lose 10% of graduates due to the fact that they do not learn any profession. We must attract people to the field of handicraft production. Here you can still find the golden bottom, from the proverb. The bottom is generally shaky, but here it is stable. And, of course, we need people who come to us from other countries, and must purposefully approach the organization of migration.

Everything is fine. That’s what happens when the “Greens” are launched into the economies. We were able to provide a shaky but stable bottom. High prices will be transferred to consumers, you don’t have to wait for fair distribution, we will build solar panels. Sooner or later, all this will catch up with the Scholz government and the CDU/CSU will return to power.

How to circumvent your own sanctions
Colonel Cassad, Jul 8 9:45

It is reported that Canada and Germany have almost reached a decision on how to circumvent the sanctions imposed by Canada and Germany against Russia. Canada will still return to Germany the Siemens equipment necessary for the operation of Nord Stream, previously blocked in Canada due to sanctions. Germany in turn will transfer the equipment to Russia within the framework of “technical procedures” and “exceptions from the sanctions regime.” Gazprom’s threat to stop the “maintenance” of Nord Stream from Jul 11 forces the sanctions clowns to hurry. If you remember, at one time Germany was scandalized about the supply of Siemens turbines to Russia. Now Germany itself is trying to find ways to circumvent sanctions and return the Siemens turbines to Russia, as long as Russia continues to supply gas. 3% of the world economy, they said. Kiev is already hysterical, as everyone understands that Gazprom twisted Germany’s arm and forced it to violate its own sanctions regime, which will be perceived as the most obvious victory of the Russian Federation in the economic war with the EU. But Germany has no real choice, as the abandonment of Russian gas in the current conditions means the collapse of some branches of German industry, whose captains are trying to bring the inadequate Scholz government to life, although even in the current conditions Germany’s competitiveness continues to decline, making it one of the main victims of the war in Ukraine. It would be ridiculous if after the transfer of equipment to Russia, the “Nord Stream maintenance” continued anyway.
