Israel Face More Defeats In Gaza
South Front, May 22 2024

Israel continues to take heavy losses in the Gaza Strip while failing to achieve any of the goals it set for the war on the Palestinian enclave. The IOF lost five troops in recent days while clashing with the Hamas Movement and other Palestinian armed factions in the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza and the area of Rafah in the southern part of the Strip. On May 16, a reservist from the Bislamach Brigade’s 6828th Battalion was killed in what was described as an “operational accident” on the border with Gaza. And on May 17, the IDF said that a soldier from the Paratroopers Brigade’s signals company was killed during fighting in the northern part of the Strip. Two more soldiers from the Givati Brigade’s reconnaissance unit were killed as a result of a blast in a booby-trapped tunnel shaft in Rafah on May 18. In addition, the IDF announced on May 19 that a company commander in the Paratroopers Brigade’s 202nd Battalion who was seriously wounded during fighting in northern Gaza on May 15 succumbed to his wounds. Dozens of other troops were wounded during the same period. The latest deaths brought the toll of slain Israeli troops in ground operations in Gaza and along the border to 283. The IDF’s only alleged achievement in recent days was the recovery of the dead bodies of four Israelis who were taken to Gaza by Hamas during the Oct 7 surprise attack. The bodies were recovered during a special operation on May 16. At least some of these hostages were apparently killed by Israeli fire.

In addition to the losses in Gaza, Israel faced 67 attacks by Hezbollah from Lebanon between May 16 and 21. The group used a suicide drone armed with rockets for the first time in an attack that targeted the Metula site on May 16. An Israeli military vehicle was destroyed and three troops were wounded. Also between May 16 and 21, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq launched seven drone attacks against targets in the Israeli cities of Eilat and Haifa as well as in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. Meanwhile in Yemen, the US, the main backer of the Israeli war on Gaza, took more losses. The Houthis (AnsarAllah) shot down two MQ-9 combat drones over the provinces of Ma’rib and Bayda on May 16 and 21. Israel didn’t do any better politically. On May 20, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant over the war on Gaza. And on May 22, Norway and Ireland recognized the state of Palestine. Overall, it is clear that the war in Gaza is not going according to Israel’s plans. Israeli losses are increasing and despite killing more than 35,500 Palestinians none of the war’s main goals have been achieved so far.

Norway, Ireland And Spain To Recognize Palestinian State In Blow To Israel
South Front, May 22 2024

Norway, Ireland and Spain announced on May 22 that they will recognize a Palestinian state within a few days dealing another blow to Israel and its ongoing war on the Gaza Strip. The official recognition by the three nations of an independent Palestinian state will take effect on May 28, Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide told a news conference, according to the Reuters news agency. Gahr Store said at the press conference:

There cannot be peace in the Middle East if there is no recognition.

Meanwhile in Ireland, leader Taoiseach Harris said:

This is a historic and important day for Ireland and for Palestine. The decision reflects a belief in freedom and justice. Peace can only be secured by the free will of a free people. I believe other countries will join Norway, Spain and Ireland in recognizing a Palestinian state in the weeks ahead.

Speaking to Spain’s lower house, Sanchez said:

This is a decision for peace, for justice and for coherence. We know that this initiative won’t bring back the past and the lives lost in Palestine, but we believe that it will give the Palestinians two things that are very important for their present and their future: dignity and hope. This recognition is not against anyone, it is not against the Israeli people. It is an act in favor of peace, justice and moral consistency. It is needed to support the viability of a two-state solution that is in serious danger. I have spent weeks and months speaking with leaders inside and outside of the region, and if one thing is clear is that Prime Minister Netanyahu does not have a project of peace for Palestine, even if the fight against the terrorist group Hamas is legitimate.

Sánchez acknowledged that it will most likely cause diplomatic tensions with Tel Aviv. Israel responded to the historic announcements by recalling its ambassadors from Ireland and Norway for immediate consultations and threatening to do the same with its envoy to Spain. Foreign Minister Israel Katz said:

I am sending an unequivocal message to Ireland and Norway. Israel will not let this go quietly.

Meanwhile, the PLO, seen worldwide as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, called the moves by Norway, Ireland and Spain “historical moments in which the free world triumphs for truth and justice,” according to AFP, citing a post on X from Hussein al-Sheikh, secretary general of the the organization’s executive committee. In addition, senior Hamas political bureau member Bassem Naim said that the “brave resistance” of the Palestinian people spurred Norway, Ireland and Spain to recognize a Palestinian state. He told AFP:

These successive recognitions are the direct result of this brave resistance and the legendary steadfastness of the Palestinian people. We believe this will be a turning point in the international position on the Palestinian issue.

Israel launched a destructive war on Gaza in response to the Oct 7 Hamas-led surprise attack, which claimed the lives of more than 1.2k people and saw the abduction of more than 200 others. So far, the war has killed over 35.5k Palestinians and left nearly 80k wounded. Most of the victims are women and children. In addition, most of the Strip has been destroyed, including vital infrastructures like hospitals, water stations and bakeries. Despite wiping out much of Gaza and displacing most of its population, Israel has so far failed to achieve any of the goals it set for the war. On top of its military failure, Israel is now facing unprecedented political failure. The recognition of the Palestinian state by Norway, Ireland and Spain will likely be just the start of a series of political challenges that Israel will face if it insisted on continuing its war on Gaza, which many around the world now consider it to be an attempt to genocide Palestinian people there.

Between May 17 and 21, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, and the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, released several videos showing daring attacks on Israeli forces attempting to advance in the Gaza Strip.

Most of the attacks in the videos took place in the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza and the heavily-populated area of Rafah in the southern part of the Strip, where the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched ground operations early on this month.

The videos released by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades and the al-Quds Brigades showed Palestinian fighters targeting Israeli main battle tanks, armored personnel carriers and bulldozers with rocket-propelled grenades and explosive devices from point blank.

The videos also showed sniping attacks against Israeli troops, ambushes with explosive devices, mortar attacks on IDF gatherings not only in Jabalia and Rafah, but also in the so-called Netzarim Corridor in central Gaza, rocket attacks on Israeli settlements and captured drones.

Two of the videos even show attacks with Soviet-made SA-7 man-portable air defense systems against Israeli AH-64 Apache attack helicopters over the Strip.

The IDF announced the death of four troops between May 17 and 21, including an officer who was mortally wounded days earlier. The latest deaths brought the toll of slain Israeli troops in ground operations in Gaza and along the border to 283. More than 1,500 others have been wounded in the Strip so far, including dozens in recent weeks. The Israeli war on Gaza has so far claimed the lives of 35,562 Palestinians and left more than 79,652 others wounded, according to the latest update by the Hamas-run health ministry. The war also destroyed much of the Strip. Still, it has clearly failed to weaken Hamas and other armed factions there.

Pashinyan Regime Now Uses Armenians As Guinea Pigs For Pentagon’s Bioweapons
Drago Bosnic, South Front, May 22 2024

In its millennia-old history, Armenia and its people suffered numerous calamities, particularly in the last 100-150 years when the Turks committed the Armenian Genocide, one of the worst in known history, killing up to 1.5 million Armenians (in addition to well over a million native Greeks and Assyrians). However, in recent years, yet another disaster befell this ancient nation. Namely, only a few years after the US/NATO intelligence services brought Nikol Pashinyan to power, the Turks and their vassals effectively finished the Armenian Genocide in Artsakh (better known as Nagorno-Karabakh). Well over 100,000 native Armenians from there were driven out of their homeland, where the Azeri occupation forces are now destroying the millennia-old (both Christian and pre-Christian) heritage of the magnificent Armenian civilization.

Virtually all contemporary troubles of the Armenian people have a name – Nikol Pashinyan. This horrible individual who has been promoting closer ties with the country’s archenemy Turkey instead of Russia since the 1990s pushed his way into power through the so-called “anticorruption” agenda. And yet, Pashinyan turned out to be far more corrupt than any of his predecessors. Even worse, he also showed his true colors as a NATO-backed dictator, particularly in recent months, when his henchmen started a more brutal crackdown on protesters. This entirely unprecedented behavior was never seen under any of the previous Armenian governments, making it yet another uniquely “Pashinyan-esque” feature of the ruling regime. Unfortunately, it seems this is only the tip of the iceberg, as they are doing something far worse.

Namely, in a report published by the reputable Weekly Blitz, the daily’s Chief Editor Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury revealed extremely disturbing details about US-run biolabs in Armenia. Citing Armenian sources, Mr Choudhury reports about a measles outbreak that’s now affecting hundreds of Armenian children. According to local media, the latest incident is a result of the Pashinyan regime’s support for the Pentagon’s bioweapons program in Armenia. For the United States, the unfortunate country is nothing but yet another pool of guinea pigs and it was precisely Pashinyan who enabled Washington DC’s exploitation of the Armenian people. As a result, they are now exposed to an unprecedented public health hazard. Armenia is just one of a string of nations affected by America’s incessant aggression against the world.

Neighboring Georgia has also been subjected to the Pentagon’s bioweapons testing. The mainstream propaganda machine has been trying to suppress reports about this, targeting globally respected journalists such as Dilyana Gaytandzhieva. Her revelations about the disturbing consequences of Washington DC’s biowarfare were far too “inconvenient” for the European Union, so Bulgaria’s most prominent investigative journalist was expelled from the troubled bloc’s parliament back in 2018 after she “dared” to confront the US Asst Sec for Health over hundreds of US-run biolabs in 25 countries around the world. Africa is particularly affected by this, as the US military is conducting all sorts of experiments in most countries on the continent. Worse yet, access to these biolabs is restricted even for the hosts.

American officials themselves don’t even bother denying the existence of these bioweapons facilities, although they usually resort to euphemisms when talking about it. For instance, Victoria Nuland, one of the most prominent war criminals in Washington DC, likes to use terms such as “biological research facilities” when talking about the ones found in Ukraine. One of the many reasons why Russia launched its special military operation is precisely the existence of these biolabs where US services are building bioweapons for attacks on the Russian people. It’s hardly surprising that the Pentagon would want such facilities in Armenia. However, what’s truly disturbing is that the Pashinyan regime is ready to expose the Armenian people to such hazard, particularly in an attempt to hurt Moscow, Yerevan’s main historical ally.

Armenian media outlets report that the epidemiological situation in the country has deteriorated drastically due to American involvement. At least 786 people have been infected as a result of the measles outbreak. The Pashinyan regime refuses to disclose any information about this controversy. Informed Armenians are extremely concerned for their safety, as following the Soros-funded coup in 2018, at least 12 biolabs have been established and expanded in the South Caucasus country, all staffed by personnel sent by the Pentagon. It should be noted that most of these bioweapons facilities are located in the vicinity of residential areas and schools. Worse yet, earlier this year, Pashinyan’s Defense Minister Suren Papikyan signed an agreement with the US to establish another biolab in Gyumri.

It’s important to note that the 102nd Russian military base with 4,000 soldiers is located precisely in Gyumri, which perfectly explains why the Pentagon is interested in establishing its presence there. It’s rather peculiar that Pashinyan dislikes the fact that the Russian military is in Armenia, so his government is working toward removing the base, although it’s the sole reason why the country has never been invaded by NATO member Turkey. At the same time, he wants to establish yet another American bioweapons facility that can cause a deadly epidemic not just in Armenia, but also elsewhere in the region and possibly beyond. The involvement of the Pentagon’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) is particularly concerning, as it deals with deadly biological materials that can be easily used as bioweapons.

The agreement between the US and the Pashinyan regime also includes the latter’s commitment to “jointly research” extremely hazardous pathogens and diseases that are not common in Armenia, including Ebola, monkeypox, the Marburg virus, Eastern equine encephalitis, as well as various types of the coronavirus. Expectedly, just like in Ukraine, Georgia, Africa and elsewhere, access to these biolabs will be limited to personnel authorized by the Pentagon. The Russian military has been warning about American bioweapons programs for years. In January this year, its Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) Protection Troops revealed the massive scope of these illegal programs, as well as the horrifying consequences of US biowarfare in Ukraine and other countries. Unfortunately, war criminals at the Pentagon managed to hijack yet another country and expand their aggression against the world.
