“Geranium” blooms
Colonel Cassad, Sep 18 2022 16:15

The first documented success in the use of the Iranian drone Shahed-136, aka “Geranium-2” in the localized Russian version. A direct hit of the UAV kamikaze destroyed the 152-mm Acacia self-propelled gun, which was simply torn apart by the detonation of ammunition. We have the initiative (С почином).

“The artillery commander of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the AFU, Colonel Rodion Kulagin said that only in the area of his brigade did Iranian drones, usually flying in pairs and then crashing into the target, destroyed two 152-mm self-propelled howitzers, as well as two APCs. Before such a large-scale use of Shahed-136, Russia tested them last month, says Kulagin. According to him, the occupiers attacked the 155 mm American M777 howitzer with a drone, another one failed, but was retrieved. The colonel noted that Iranian drones are quite small and fly low – this complicates their detection by Ukrainian air defense systems.” (c) SBU agent Butusov

About burials in Izyum
Colonel Cassad, Sep 18 2022 15:17

A few words about the graves in Izyum from a person who personally dealt with them.

“First of all, it is worth saying that I personally went to the front line with my comrades from a specially designated unit of the 20th Army several times to collect the bodies of Ukrainian servicemen. Under the continuous shelling of Ukrainian artillery, we took out the already dilated corpses to the city morgue of the city of Izyum. At that time, our command was actively looking for opportunities to transfer the remains to the leadership of the AFU, found volunteers who could do it, but… The Ukrainian side was constantly looking for reasons for the postponement of the transfer, and then stopped contact altogether. Thus, a couple of weeks later, our fighters, together with the city funeral team, had to carry out burials in the local cemetery. All servicemen committed to the ground who had identity documents with them are recorded in a special journal. In addition, they even have death certificates issued by a city pathologist.

“Now about the terrible. Moving around the city, I myself more than once had to witness the death of civilians from Ukrainian shells arriving in the private sector. When our troops fought on the southern outskirts of the city and the artillery of the AFU still finished up in residential areas, every day the funeral team brought 3-5 people to the city cemetery, whose lives were lost as a result of this monstrous genocide. I saw tears of mothers and fathers mourning their children, heard the words of locals about the fact that for Kiev they are not all people here now, but separatists that need to be killed… And after all this, Zelensky has the audacity and cynicism to declare that Russian troops are to blame for the death of civilians! Ask the parents of Ruslan Danilovich Prokopenko, born on Jun 13 2002, in whose house before my eyes a shell of an air traffic policeman flew which helped take them to the cemetery and bury their son’s body. Of course, I understand why the West is conducting this information and psychological operation using the Kiev jester as a victim, but it is absolutely not clear to me how you can believe that Russian troops shelled their own rear areas.”

Here I can add that photos of graves with crosses, which are now being excavated, posted in the spring + there was also a video where they showed the process of burial of the corpses of AFU soldiers, as well as civilians who died as a result of shelling of Izyum. After the liberation of Izyum, the AFU quite regularly pounded the city of artillery and MLRS, trying to prevent the AFRF from advancing in the area of Kamenka and the intersection of roads south of Izyum.
